HOW CAN I HELP AT HOME​?

The best way to support your child in Stokley's Smarties is to support me as your child's teacher and build a relationship that encourages us to work together as a united front.    Also, work on acadmic and content vocabulary on a regular basis.

WHAT IS HONOR ROLL AND HOW DO I GET THERE?

There are two types of honor roll at NAES.  Principal's Honor Roll is for a perfct GPA of 4.0 or A's in all academic subjects .  Honor Roll is 3.8 or higher, which allows a student to get all A's and one B.  Both honor rolls require an Satisfacttory or Outstanding marks in social behavior and special area grades.

PROGRESS MONITORING & STATE/COUNTY ASSESSMENTS

Charlotte County Public Schools require you complete a volunteer application and submit it to your school's office staff for processing.  Below you will find a link to the volunteer application.

Built to target your specific state science standards, National Geographic Science is a research-based program that brings science learning to life through the lens of National Geographic. Promote science success as you share The National Geographic experience.

United States History

 

Fifth Graders will study United States history from exploration through approximately 1850. Networks combines interactive online resources grounded in solid pedagogy with a full suite of teaching and learning tools for a flexible, customized learning experience.

 

  • The student portfolio is written to NGSSS and delivered through a story well told that is current, relevant, and informative.

  • The student portfolio contains compelling visuals including; photographs, maps, graphs, primary sources, and diagrams.

  • Students take ownership by responding to questions, drawing, writing, circling, and highlighting right in their portfolio.

  • Student analyze Primary Sources through Document Based Questions.

  • This program is interactive from cover to cover.
